LIVE: UN envoy Pedersen holds news conference following Syria talks in Geneva

UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen is set to brief journalists in Geneva on Friday, January 29, following the latest round of meetings of the Syrian Constitutional Committee.

The 150-member constitutional committee aims to bring together the parties of the Syrian conflict to reach an agreement on redrawing the nation’s constitution. It consists of members of the Syrian government, as well as representatives of the Syrian opposition and civil society.
